On Sept. 3, Premier League terminated its three-year contract with every other Chinese language platform, PPTV, which used to be intended to finish in 2022. In step with the Day-to-day Mail, PPTV will have to have paid £160 million to the Premier League in March. PPTV claimed the price of its streaming carrier has contracted on account of the Covid-19 pandemic and looked for a bargain or deferred fee with the Premier League. The Premier League declined the proposal, after which the contract terminated.

Previously, all “The Giant 5” Eu Leagues have reached consensus with the Chinese language platform for subsequent season’s broadcast. Italian Serie A, German Bundesliga, and French Ligue have completed agreements with PPTV, and Spain’s L. a. Liga will stay in cooperation with iQIYI
